How to attach the string to the yoyo in 7 easy steps

1. Have a look at the string itself.

You will see that there are two different kinds of ends. One of the ends has a knot made from the factory. This will help you put the string around the middle index finger. The other end will show a minuscule loop unless you untwist the string.

2. Take the end of the string which has no knot made during the manufacturing process.

Pinch with the right hand the end of the string. Grab the cord with the left hand 1 or 2 inches away from the minuscule loop.

3. Grab the string and untwist it.

As you untwist the string you’ll notice the fact that the 2 strands of the yoyo string begin to separate. The gap itself widens, thus creating more space for the fingers to fit in that loop.

4..Insert the thumb and the right digit into the hole created at the end of the string

Enlarge the space within the loop by making space between the digits so that the yoyo can squeeze through the hole.

In this case, you have 2 strands coming from the string itself and you also have one strand above your thumb and your pointing finger. Take the unique strand between the 2 digits and push it against the bearing then let the cord twist back to its original state.

To make sure your twine is the right length in proportion to your height do the following thing: Let the yoyo down onto the ground and let it stay there. Put all the string strong enough to keep it tensioned but not lift the toy from the ground. Check if the string exceeds your belly button level and make a mark.

From that point you fold over the string to have the same length in both strings: the one starting from the mark and then the other one making a turning and coming back to the mark.

How to make an adjustable string knot in 5 stages

1. Take a look at the knot and the loop made by the manufacturer. This will be your starting point.

2. Pinch the rest of the string one inch away from the original knot. Push it through the loop and you will obtain a mini-lasso.

3. Adjust your slipknot to your middle finger size.

4. Attach the slipknot to your right middle-finger and make sure two strings are facing the pinky.

5. Pull the cord after the adjustment is being made. The string should stay fixed on your finger.

How to remove a frayed string and replace it with a new one

You have to spin the yoyo counterclockwise to enlarge the string gap containing the bearing and take your yoyo out of that loop. The next thing you need to do is just to repeat the steps related to attaching a cord to a yoyo.

How to wind the string

Use your left pointing finger to complete the task. Wrap the string once around both your index finger and the bearing and then wrap the cord just around the bearing to maintain friction between the string and the response pads. If you don’t do exactly as mentioned, you’ll not be able to wind up the string. The process itself is simple and can be done immediately.
